Website, Client Portals, and Associated Social Media Accounts
Please familiarize yourself with the Cancellation and Refund Policy prior to booking or purchasing any services or programs. A non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking a single visit or customized care package.
If you have any questions about United Community Wellness services, programs, and/ or products, please contact us before booking or purchasing.
Acceptance
It is important that you read this policy carefully.
By booking or purchasing any services, programs, and/ or products through the Website, client portals, and/ or associated social media accounts whether as a guest or a registered user, you are indicating your acceptance of this Policy. If you do not accept the terms and conditions of the Cancellations and Refund Policy, you must not book or purchase any services, programs, and/ or products through the Website, client portals, and/ or associated social media accounts.

The cancellation and refund policy takes into consideration the dynamic and somewhat unpredictable nature of client experiences as they relate to the services and programs offered by United Community Wellness.
APPOINTMENT CANCELLATION UPON SCHEDULING – WITH 24 HOUR NOTICE PERIOD:
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that you give at least 24 hours notice. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as this advance notice allows us to offer the appointment time to another client.
HOW TO RESCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MORE THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE:
You can reschedule a single visit appointment to another available date within the next 3 months, directly through the client portal. Please note: If you cancel and do not reschedule your appointment within 3 months from the date of the original appointment booking, you will not receive credit for the non-refundable deposit that was paid at the time of booking the last appointment, and you will have to pay another full deposit fee if you would like to book again in the future.
HOW TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT WITH LESS THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE:
Please send a direct message through the client portal, with as much notice as possible, so that I can take you out of your scheduled appointment time. You can then reschedule this appointment to another available date within the next 3 months, directly through the client portal. Please note: If you cancel and do not reschedule your appointment within 3 months from the date of the original appointment booking, you will not receive credit for the non-refundable deposit that was paid at the time of booking the last appointment, and you will have to pay another full deposit fee if you would like to book again in the future.
LATE CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS:
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time are considered late. A client who misses an appointment without canceling is considered a no-show. More than one late cancellation or a no-show for an appointment may result in being charged a full visit non-refundable deposit fee at the time of next booking.
ARRIVING LATE TO AN APPOINTMENT:
To respect everyone’s time, appointments will end at the originally scheduled time, even if you arrive late to your visit. If you are more than 30 minutes late for your visit, you are considered a no-show appointment, and I may not be able to see you that day.
NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS:
United Community Wellness does not offer refunds on deposits. Non-refundable deposits are required to cover administrative fees, transaction fees, processing fees, and use of the secure client portal system. Deposits hold and secure a substantial amount of dedicated time, space, and resources for you to receive nursing care and support – time that is reserved for you, and no one else.
For Appointments booked as a Single Visit (In the Moment) there is a non-refundable deposit of $125 for an Initial Intake & Visit and $50 for a Follow Up Visit, due at time of booking. Non-refundable deposits are required to cover administrative fees, transaction fees, processing fees, and use of the secure client portal system. This secures a substantial amount of dedicated time and space within a day for you to receive care and support.
For Customized Care Packages (The First Forty Days, The Trimester, United for Nine, and Seasons of Change) there is a
non-refundable deposit due at time of booking. Deposit amounts vary depending on the size of the package and these amounts are outlined in the client portal and on invoices. Booking a customized care package secures a substantial amount of dedicated time and space over the course of many hours and days (sometimes weeks and months!) for you to receive care and support.

United Community Wellness understands that unforeseeable personal and family emergencies can occur, and in such situations, it might prevent you from being able to receive the full course of care and support that is planned for and anticipated within a customized care package.
Requests for partial refunds on unutilized services will be considered on an individual basis and may require supporting documentation.

United Community Wellness is the independent nursing practice of Layna Palechek. There are no employed staff or affiliated private practice care providers to provide nursing care and support for clients of United Community Wellness in the event that Layna has an unforeseeable personal or family illness or emergency. If single visits or customized care packages are cancelled by United Community Wellness, and a mutually agreeable time to reschedule is not available, refunds will be issued for services that were purchased and not yet provided.

Payments made using Interac debit cards can only be refunded in person using the Interac card associated with the original charge.

Refunds require processing time from United Community Wellness, the client portal system, credit card, and/ or banking institutions involved. United Community Wellness will strive to be prompt with issuing any refunds that are required.

Due to the intimate and/ or health-related nature of products that may be available for purchase from United Community Wellness,
there are no refunds or exchanges provided for products purchased.
